Why can’t I get off the chair and get something done?
And I’ve got my reasons:
- No time.
- Tired.
- No hot water.
- Game is on t.v.
- Got other things to do.
I saw this Ted Talks Youtube video that I wished I
bookmarked or wrote the name of the presenter.
But she said that the effort to do something, like place a call to a new
customer, fire and employee, tackle a new project, take out the garbage and so
forth, is equal to reaching out and turning an alarm clock off in the morning
when you’re dead asleep.
I’m a light sleeper and when that clock goes off, I’m out of
bed whether I like it or not.
So, I have a reference to relate to.
I put it to test when I saw a sink full of dishes. Normally, I’d wait till later, but with the
alarm clock analogy in my head, I found myself washing dishes.

Funny how these things work.
